About Oggec
OGGEC Sdn Bhd is a Malaysian company pursuing opportunities across the energy value chain in Southeast Asia and the wider Asia-Pacific region.
Our name represents Oil Gas Global Energy Corporation.
We work with experienced industry, technology and investment partners to develop practical energy and environmental solutions. Our areas of interest include oil and gas, enhanced oil recovery, solar power, lower-carbon energy solutions and responsible electronic-waste management.
We recognise that conventional energy remains important to economic development and energy security. At the same time, the way energy is produced and used must continue to improve. Our focus is therefore on projects and technologies that can increase efficiency, reduce waste and lower the carbon footprint of energy operations.
OGGEC is still building its capabilities and partnerships. We take a practical and responsible approach—evaluating each opportunity carefully and seeking to create long-term value for our partners, communities and the environment.
OGGEC Signifies
OGGEC stands for Oil Gas Global Energy Corporation.
The name reflects both our foundation and our direction:
- Oil and Gas represents our industry experience and our commitment to improving the efficiency and environmental performance of existing energy operations.
- Global Energy represents our broader interest in solar power, lower-carbon technologies and other practical energy solutions.
- Corporation represents our intention to bring together capable partners, technologies and investment to develop responsible and commercially sustainable projects.
Our purpose is straightforward: to participate in the energy sector while helping to reduce its carbon footprint.
We do not claim to have every solution. We aim to work with the right partners, apply suitable technologies and make steady, measurable improvements through the projects we undertake.
What We Do
OGGEC identifies energy and environmental opportunities that may benefit from better technology, stronger partnerships, or additional investment.
Depending on the project, our role may include:
- Conducting preliminary market and project research;
- Identifying suitable technologies and technical partners;
- Facilitating discussions with asset owners and relevant stakeholders;
- Supporting commercial and partnership structuring;
- Coordinating technical and commercial evaluation; and
- Helping establish the project team required for implementation.
Our participation is determined by the requirements, risks, and commercial structure of each opportunity.
Our Approach to Lower Carbon
OGGEC recognises that oil and gas will remain part of the energy system while countries develop cleaner and more reliable alternatives.
Our approach is to pursue practical improvements that can be measured. These may include improving production efficiency, reducing unnecessary energy consumption, extending the productive life of existing assets, integrating renewable power, recovering useful materials and applying technologies that reduce waste and emissions.
We do not describe every project as “green.” We assess its actual contribution, commercial viability and environmental impact before deciding how OGGEC should participate.
