Chief Executive Officer

Michael has previously served as the Chief Executive Officer of MCM Technologies Bhd where his main focus was on IT Outsourcing and Managed Services. He started out his career in Coopers and Lybrand where he obtained his Certified Public Accountant CPA and entered into a variety of management and finance positions.
He spent 7 years with Electronic Data Systems Malaysia as the CFO and with Ericsson Services Malaysia as the Regional Financial Controller overseeing  Asia Pacific. His diverse experience in finance led him to confidently move into the position of Country Manager of the Hewlett Packard Services Division.

Philip Soh

Director, Information Technology & Digital Systems

Philip brings more than 38 years of senior management and technology-industry experience to OGGEC Sdn Bhd. He specialises in using information technology, enterprise software and digital systems to transform business operations, strengthen organisational capabilities and support sustainable growth.

Throughout his career, Philip has held senior roles with leading multinational technology and logistics organisations, including Fujitsu, e2open, Oracle, BMC Software, Unisys, Informix and DHL Worldwide Express. This extensive experience has given him a strong understanding of enterprise systems, software services, technology partnerships, operational transformation and complex business environments.

At OGGEC, Philip provides strategic leadership for information technology and digital infrastructure across the company’s activities in energy, oil and gas, solar power and electronic-waste management. He works closely with management, technical teams and technology partners to identify and implement systems that can strengthen project control, operational visibility, data management, regulatory reporting and management decision-making.

His responsibilities also include technology governance, system integration, cybersecurity, data protection and business continuity. As OGGEC expands, Philip will help establish scalable digital platforms capable of supporting multiple projects, operating locations and strategic partnerships.

By combining extensive corporate experience with practical technology leadership, Philip helps OGGEC convert business requirements into reliable, secure and commercially effective digital capabilities.

Edmund Lok

Research Analyst – Energy, Technology & Sustainable Growth

Edmund supports OGGEC Sdn Bhd by researching the technologies, market developments and business opportunities shaping the future of energy.

His work covers oil and gas, enhanced oil recovery, brownfield development, solar power, lower-carbon technologies and responsible electronic-waste management. He studies industry trends, emerging solutions, regulatory developments and potential partners to help OGGEC identify opportunities that are practical, commercially viable and environmentally responsible.

Edmund works with OGGEC’s management and technical partners to turn complex information into clear and useful analysis. His research supports the early assessment of new projects, technologies and strategic collaborations, including their potential benefits, limitations, risks and suitability for deployment in Malaysia and the wider Southeast Asian region.

A key part of his role is examining how existing oil and gas operations can improve production efficiency while reducing energy consumption, emissions and waste. He also evaluates how solar power, digital technologies, resource recovery and other lower-carbon solutions can complement OGGEC’s conventional energy activities.

Guided by OGGEC’s principle of “Practical Energy. Lower Carbon. Responsible Growth,” Edmund helps the company make better-informed decisions and build a balanced portfolio of energy and environmental projects.

His role reflects OGGEC’s practical approach: understanding each opportunity carefully, working with capable partners and pursuing growth that can deliver measurable commercial and environmental value.
